Mike Brunnick
With over 35 years of leadership experience, Mike has led teams in the military, government, nonprofit, and private sectors. In his 25 years in the B2B technology space, Mike led global teams in the fields of training, services, products, sales, and customer success. As such, he has a unique perspective on how the parts of a go-to-market (GTM) team work together, and how they impact the customer experience.
His specialty is leading teams within organizations who are looking to make successful exits. His track record includes exits with: Vignette (acquired by OpenText), Autonomy (acquired by HP), SocialWare (acquired by ProofPoint), and, most recently, QAD (acquired by Thoma Bravo).
Mike has a BS from Holy Cross, and has earned a bronze star for Bravery as a Lt. in the Marines during Operation Desert Storm.
Jason Mundy
Jason Mundy, a Senior Advisor at VALR Advisors, is a certified FocalPoint executive coach and business consultant with over 25 years of B2B technology marketing leadership experience in high-growth SaaS startups and Fortune 100 companies, including EMC and Dell. He's a two-time former CMO with a proven track record of enhancing operational efficiency and driving sales growth. His specialty is in helping leaders of small and medium-sized technology, manufacturing, and professional services firms grow revenue through innovative sales, marketing, and leadership strategies.
Jason has an MBA from Boston University, and a BS in Engineering from the University of Rhode Island.
Jeff Lortz
Jeff is a former naval officer and seasoned CXO within both private equity-backed and public companies. He is a strategic advisor, executive coach, and leadership development expert with a 25-year legacy driving transformational growth and operational excellence including two tenures as CEO.
Jeff specializes in aligning product capabilities with market opportunities, defining go-to-market (GTM) strategies, and building high-performance teams that deliver exceptional results. He has served as an executive at hyper-growth public companies (PTC and Pegasystems). His experience includes successful IPOs (Bladelogic and Everbridge) and a strategic acquisition (Bladelogic to BMC). As CEO, he led PE founder transitions (Fastr and ProcessMaker), a complex carve-out (Acoustic from IBM), and a multi-company roll-up with Vista (Tomia).
Jeff has an MBA from the University of Rhode Island and a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of New Hampshire.
Conleth O'Connell
Prior to joining VALR Advisors, Dr. Conleth O’Connell led the FinTech Division for four years as vice president delivering financial services products to over 20,000 customers in the areas of business banking, merchant, invoicing and payment services, accounting and taxes. As an agile leader, O’Connell empowers his teams to strive for continuous improvement in process, people, and technology within the guardrails of business goals, and to use data and transparency to measure success. In addition to his engineering leadership role, Dr. O’Connell acted as CISO managing risks for the organization leading corporate IT, security, and compliance attaining PCI DSS 4.0, Level 1 certification, SOC 2 Type II assessments (all 5 trust criteria), as well as managing annual federally regulated BSA audits. Dr. O’Connell served as Chief Information and Security Officer (as CIO and CISO) for Kony, Inc. In this role, O’Connell was responsible for managing risks while ensuring the highest standard of business efficiency, security and trust across Kony’s global organization and customer banking applications. These efforts were audited and certified at the highest regulatory compliance levels to meet or exceed the business needs of Kony’s clients (PCI DSS, ISO-27001, and SOC 2 certifications). He has spent the majority of his career as a visionary technology and product leader in the C-suite of various software companies from startup through to IPO and beyond leading engineering, professional services, and sales teams throughout the entire software development lifecycle and seeing those organizations grow through IPO and acquisition.
